Aeroclub Maritime is based at Lelystad Airport and provides flight training for recreational and professional pilots. Our association is an officially recognised Declared Training Organisation (DTO) and meets national and European requirements for safety and training quality.
Aeroclub Maritime has also been an active aeroclub since 1971, with roots at Naval Air Station De Kooy going back to 1969 and therefore to the late nineteen-sixties.
Everything that matters for solid flight training comes together at Lelystad. You fly from a controlled airport (CTR), so from day one you gain experience with radio communication, traffic handling and professional airspace procedures. That is a clear advantage for every student pilot.
We operate modern, well-equipped training aircraft that remain affordable through our participation model. Lelystad is our home base and offers favourable operating conditions, while we also regularly make training and club flights, for example to Texel.
Aeroclub Maritime has a long history of training pilots and still maintains good relationships with both defence and civil aviation authorities. That background is reflected today in a practical, safety-conscious and down-to-earth training culture.
If you do not yet have a licence and want to start flying, we offer complete training in a professional environment. If you already hold a licence, you will immediately recognise the value of flying from Lelystad. In both cases, you are very welcome at Aeroclub Maritime.
