Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training
Do you dream of flying an aircraft yourself? With the Private Pilot Licence (PPL), you take the first step towards flying independently. During the training programme, you learn to fly a single-engine aircraft safely and responsibly according to European (EASA) regulations. The training is provided by our approved Declared Training Organisation (DTO NL-DTO-012).
The practical training consists of at least 45 flight hours, divided between dual instruction flights and solo flights. Step by step, you build experience from your first introduction to the aircraft and basic manoeuvres through to navigation flights and a solo cross-country flight.
During the training programme, the following topics are covered, among others:
- Basic aircraft control and handling
- Take-offs and landings
- Emergency procedures and safety
- Radio communication
- Navigation and cross-country flights
- Basic instrument flying
- Preparation for the practical exam
In addition to the practical training, you follow a theory course and must hold an EASA Class 2 Medical before your first solo flight. After successfully completing the theory, practical training and exam, you receive the Private Pilot Licence (PPL(A)), which allows you to act as pilot-in-command of a single-engine aircraft for private flights.
